Save the dates!

Guidance will be hosting several parent nights in January.  Start marking your calendars:

Underclassmen Night (9th and 10th graders): January 10th 6:00pm in the FHS Auditorium
          Topics:  Graduation and Promotion Requirements, Using Technology to Your Advantage (for  
           parents), and College Planning.


Junior Parent Night (11th graders): January 11th 6:00pm in the FHS Auditorium
          Topics: College Planning!

AICE Info Night (8th graders): January 12th 6:30pm in the FHS Auditorium
          Topic: Advantages of AICE and the application process.

Financial Aid Night (12th graders): January 18th 6:30pm in the FHS Auditorium
          Topic: How to apply for financial aid.  There will be financial aid officers there to answer questions.

Dignity-U-Wear Community Service

Dignity-U-Wear is looking for students to help sort clothing during the week of December 27th – 30th. They have two 3-and-a-half hour shifts each day, one at 8:30am-12:00pm and another at 12:30pm-4:00pm. Free lunch at noon and cool raffle prizes throughout the day!

Work with Pets and get Community Service Hours

The K & C Pet Rescue and Adoption Society is taking Santa photographs with pets three weekends in December. They need volunteers to take photographs, talk with the pet owners waiting in line and coordinating wait time.



The dates are:

Sunday, December 12
Saturday, December 18
Sunday, December 19

Burger King Scholarship

The HAVE IT YOUR WAY® Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the new and improved 2011 BURGER KING® Scholars Program. To date, the BURGER KING® Scholars Program has awarded more than $14 million to high school seniors and employees across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and the program continues to grow. This year alone we awarded $1.2 million in scholarships.



BURGER KING® Scholars application period opens Nov. 15, 2010 and closes Jan. 10, 2011.

Infinite Scholar College Fair

Save the date for the Infinite Scholar College Fair presented by 100 Black Men of Jacksonville
