Volunteer Opportunity

Make a Difference Day

At Everbank Field

*** Volunteers Needed ***

When: Saturday, October 22, 2011

Time: 9:00 am—12:00 pm

Where: Everbank Field (foot of the Matthews Bridge)

This is the award winning event that invites volunteers to spend a Saturday morning learning how to improve the health and appearance of trees and participate in clean up of the area surrounding Everbank Field. Following a brief presentation, volunteers are divided into groups under the supervision of forestry professionals. The fun begins with hands-on instruction as we provide the care our city trees need to survive and flourish. Volunteers should bring pruning tools and work gloves. As work will be close to a highway, no one under the age of fourteen may participate. Volunteers will receive an informative pruning booklet and a special t-shirt. This is a fee free event, but registration is recommended. Call 398-5757 or email to RSVP. (check in will begin at 8:30 a.m.)

Directions: Volunteers should look for the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and Greenscape banner at our staging area in the city lot located northeast of Everbank Field on East Duval Street. For further information contact the Greenscape office at 398-5757 or the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful office at 630-3420 (
